How we calculate dates #

This page explains how date calculation works in Delm.

Dispatch date #

The date on which a delivery is collected by the shipping service provider.

Parameters for calculating the dispatch date:

1. Current date and time
2. Schedule for the collection of deliveries by the shipping service provider
3. Delays
4. Custom holidays

Rules for calculating the dispatch date:

1. Date is active in the schedule for the collection of deliveries by the shipping service provider
2. Collection time has not yet passed
3. Date is not a custom holiday

Delivery date #

The date on which an order is delivered to the customer's doorstep.

Parameters for calculating the delivery date:

1. Dispatch date
2. Transit time
3. Deliverable days
4. General working days of the shipping service provider
5. Delays
6. Custom holidays
7. Public holidays

Rules for calculating the delivery date:

1. Date is not a custom holiday
2. Date is not a public holiday
3. Date is a shipping carrier working day
4. Date is a deliverable day
5. Remaining transit time must be zero
